HEALTH AND SAFETY ENVIRONMENT POLICY
OUR POLICY
- The board of the directors are fully committed to protect our employees and shareholders from all kind of injuries, ill health, prevent damages to asset, minimize the impact on environment and maintain good reputation in our business.
- Quality Health and Safety Environment has always been an area of our prime interest throughout the lifestyle of our projects.
OUR OBJECTIVE
- To achieve “Power to Zero” culture with zero LTI and zero loss through our activities and operations.
- To ensure compliance with the law of Sultanate of Oman and company standards.
- To achieve continual improvement in HSE performance by conducting periodic review of HSE management system.
OUR MISSION
- Align all the employees to demonstrate commitment to health, safety and environment through HSE training.
- Identity and Review the hazards and possible consequences prior to carrying out an activity and establish necessary control measures.
- Apply technical skills in design and engineering stage to improve HSE aspect of our services and products.
- Provide adequate and effective supervision to ensure that the control measures are implemented fully.
- Fix accountability for line managers to comply with the HSE requirements.
- Set performance objectives and targets at appropriate levels, monitor and review periodically to achieve continual improvement through short and long-term action plans.
- Ensure availability of adequate resources to achieve HSE objectives.
- Establish effective communication and consultation between management, employees and stakeholders for enhancing HSE awareness and compliance.
- Conserve environment, optimize consumption of resources, reduce generation of waste and ensure waste disposal in a responsible manner.
- Promote culture of comply, intervene and respect. Empower all to work only in a safe environment. Encourage reporting and investigation of incidents, non- conformances and initiate actions to prevent recurrence.
- Honor valuable suggestions from employees to improve implementations of HSE standards.

OUR POLICY
- It’s the policy of AATES to maintain a quality management system designed to meet the requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2008 in pursuit of its primary objectives.
- AATES recognizes the importance of implementing quality management system in all jobs undertaken as an efficient and professional organization and believe that high standards of quality is always an integral part of such effective organizations in providing its services to the customers and the society.
- Our aim is to complete our projects in time with high standards of quality and in accordance with the customer requirements.

Road Safety Policy
ROAD SAFETY POLICY
OUR POLICY
- The board of directors are fully committed to protect our employees and stakeholders from the risk associated with travelling on the road.
- The company will put sustained efforts to reduce such risks having the impact on our business and community.
- The company will create awareness among employees to enable them to recognize and follow the national road safety rules at all the places.
OUR OBJECTIVE
- Safeguard stakeholders by deploying vehicles and drivers complying with the company and clients standards.
- Comply with the applicable legal and other requirements of the country and the customers it serve.
- Reduce road risks.
OUR MISSION
- Provide necessary training, information to company drivers, operators and hold them accountable for compliance with the applicable requirements.
- Adhere to the maintenance standards stipulated by the original vehicle / equipment manufactures.
- Make it mandatory for the driver and passengers to wear seat belts at all the time during the journey.
- Emphasize building safe behavior, attitude and culture among drivers and operators and passengers and other road users.
- Comply with the applicable requirements on load safety and restraining.
- Stringent disciplinary action shall be taken against violators of the policy.
- Plan & schedule realistic driving hours to follow up and complete journey safely.
- Implement fatigue management and emphasize drivers to STOP when felling fatigued.
- Initiate prompt actions against non-complaint situations.
Smoking, Alcohol and Drug Policy
SMOKING, ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY
OUR POLICY
- The board of directors are fully committed to protect our employees and stakeholders from ill health because of drug using.
- Abuse of alcohol use of illegal drugs or misuse of legal drugs and smoking can impact performance at work and pose serious threat to health of our employees and adversely affect HSE performance.
- The company will create awareness among employees to enable them to recognize this threat and establish controls to prevent adverse impact on their health and contribute in improving HSE performance.
OUR OBJECTIVE
- To achieve “No Smoking & No Alcohol” policy at work place, prohibition of smoking in offices, work sites and in fleet vehicles and equipment’s.
- To ensure compliance with the law of Sultanate of Oman and company standards. Prohibition of unauthorized, illegal possessions and sale of alcohol and drugs in work place and company residence.
- To promote culture of Healthy workforce.
OUR MISSION
- Encourage employees to adopt alcohol smoking free life and provide medical assistance / counselling to those in need.
- Create awareness among employees on the ill effects of consumption of alcohol, drugs and smoking through education and campaigns.
- Conduct search operation whenever the company has reasonable grounds to believe that such prohibitive items are made available in the company premises. Failure to cooperate will be treated as a serious misconduct.
- Carry out confirmatory medical tests if an employee is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Failure to appear for a test or a positive result will be treated as a serious misconduct.
- Confirmatory test to be conducted in case of road traffic accident, personal injury, damage to property caused under the influence of alcohol and drugs will be under the jurisdiction of Royal Oman Police.
- Stringent disciplinary action shall be taken against violators of the policy.
